Goodwill Vision Services (formerly known as ABVI) can provide in person Sensitivity to Blindness Training. This one-hour interactive session is focused on exploring ways to best support and engage with individuals with vision loss.
Who: Any new Goodwill employee and any community members interested in this type of training.
When: 1st Tuesday of the Month from 10:00-11:00 AM.
Where: Offered monthly at Goodwill’s main campus, 500 South Clinton Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620 in the Learning and Development Institute located on the 2nd floor of the Low Vision Center end of the building. If a community partner would like this training session provided at their workplace, please indicate that per the registration details below.
Why: To gain a better understanding of various forms of visual impairments, a brief overview of Vision Rehabilitation training provided, and how to best support individuals with visual impairments.
